Healthy alternatives for your movie munchables


When one goes to the cinema they have every intention to get lost in the story unfolding on the screen in front of them, for two and half hours our eyes and minds are captivated and our body goes into autopilot.


Unfortunately, at the end of the film or maybe even during we find that we’ve already demolished our way through the EXTRA large bucket of popcorn because we thought it would last you during the film, or devoured an entire bag of m&m's…

Not at all healthy, instead try these simple healthy alternatives:

Fruits are always gets a huge tick of approval in the healthy snack department. The advantage on snacking on fruits is that you can eat more your favourite fruit (I know everyone has one), you wont feel so guilty afterwards and your belt will thank you.

For a savory alternative you could swap out the buttery popcorn to a trail mix you could bring in to the cinemas with you. In the health conscious world of today it’s not a secret that nuts are a good source of healthy fats and are high in fiber, vitamins and minerals plus its yummy!


Another health choice you could make while deciding on your movie snacks could be your choice in drink. Swap your soda drinks out for a simple and equally refreshing choice of water! You can never have enough! Or if you’re in the mood for some flavor try grabbing yourself a freshly squeezed juice, or an ice tea.
